Vittorio Farina Men's Polka Dot Satin Necktie & Pocket Square

When I saw this tie online, my first thought was, "that will make a great Christmas tie!" When I actually saw it in person, my thought was, "oh, no! This looks like the clothing of a famous mouse's girlfriend!" That aside, the tie and matching pocket square are nice material and of good quality. Everything is shaped right and sewn well, and it did look festive for Christmas and not overtly feminine. Although I would say a female could probably wear this just as easily and pull it off. It's a pretty unisex pattern of tie. It's bright and cheery, and did great for the holidays, and will probably also look great with a navy jacket for patriotic holidays. What I won't do is turn into a bow tie! That would take the mouse resemblance too far!Still, nice tie, and I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of it.

I have a couple of ties from this brand now because I like the style and quality of them. This one is in that same category. I like the looks of it and the design/pattern even though it is simple. I wear a lot of navy and blues so I like to mix it up with different ties. Even though in my picture it looks black, it is actually a dark navy and white polka dots. I want to mention or point out that this is what I consider a "fat" tie. Meaning that some people have issues tying the fatter style ties. If you spend too much time or too many attempts on trying to tie the tie, then you will risk messing the tie up. I noticed when I tried to tie it and would mess up, then have to repeat several times that the tie starts noticeably getting wrinkled bad and just did not look good. I did not try to iron it but I set something heavy on top of it to try to get the wrinkles out. I couldn't find any instructions to see if the tie is ironable and I'm not an expert on materials to know if it can be ironed or not.In order to help me save time and to avoid ruining the tie (because it really was starting to look bad with all the wrinkles in it with the multiple tying attempts), I found a way to pre-tie it. So now it is pre-tied and I can easily slip it on and pull the smaller back (tail) which tightens the neck. And then I'm good to go. I took a picture of it pre-tied (it does not come tied, so I don't want anything to think that it comes pre-tied) It's just something that worked for me and may be help for someone else.

I will admit a severe fandom of the Killers and Brandon Flowers, lead singer of the Killers. For the "Mr Brightside" video (think back 20 years or so), Brandon wore this fantastic ensemble, set off by a polkadot tie, very much like this one.Heck, it's so close I wonder if it *is* the real one. This tie totally brings the quality - it does not feel cheap or flimsy or poorly put together in any possible way. The weight and movement of it was that of a premium tie, and I actually received compliments on it. As I said, the material is top-notch and sits just right (especially when tucked into your golden vest).It was comfortable to wear for the entire wedding and I cannot say enough great stuff about this tie. Get it if this is what you are going for, because you're Mister Brightside. Well, I never.

Cute, but I felt like the tie was shorter than normal or perhaps it's not as thin as I had thought. It's certainly a keeper.
