I didn't grow up in the era where French Cuff shirts were in fashion, but always found these fascinating. So as I got older, and had a couple more "formal" events I could make an excuse to dress up for, naturally I went for some. Cufflinks definitely are a complimentary piece for a formal look. It's a man's way of dolling up, when all the men in the room are dressed like similar penguins. Maybe not the best analogy, but you're getting this review from a Psychologist/Sociologist so that's how I see it. These are very well put-together, maybe a bit flashy, but it's like a man's version of catching a glimpse of a garter belt and stockings on a lady when her sheer dress is ever so slightly see-through. Someone's going to see you reach for a handshake or something, see these on your wrists and think "Wow... nice touch."

The stones on these cuff links are fairly large, maybe a bit too large for me. They look pretty good though and feel like they're high quality. If you're a large guy, then these would suit you. Since I'm normal sized, they look a little too big on my suit.

These cuffs are best suited for Big & Tall, and also for shirt cuffs that have more stiffness, since these are large and weighty, if you have a wishy-washy dress shirt, it's gonna tug the cuffs down and open. But it's perfect if you like showy and opulent dress cuffs. These are definitely a dress cufflink not a work cufflink. The quality is fine, they are not quite fine jewelry grade but they seem robust.

They're extremely well made and elegant looking and will undoubtedly last many years, maybe to be passed on down to his own children some day.
